Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose:  Use and maintenance

The Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose for purchase, has replaced an old hose model about 4 years ago.  This Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose is for a Cryo 6 cooler not any other Cryo model, and is the standard hose normally sold with a new Cryo 6 unit.  This treatment tube is 6 feet in length, light-weight, flexible, and durable.  This treatment hose contains a nozzle plug which allows the user to simply link the Cryo 6 Hose to the Cryo 6 chiller.  In the nozzle plug, there is an Allen screw that has to line up with all the grooves in the air outlet to ensure that the hose stays within the lock position.  The grooves in the air outlet forms a bayonet catch.  The bayonet catch enables the hose to be securely attached to the cooler.  By pressing up, revolving a little bit clockwise, and then tugging straight down carefully, the Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose will fasten into position within the air outlet in the system.  As soon as the hos is in place, the cooled air from the Zimmer Cooler system can be sent to the therapy site by means of this application tube.  The Zimmer Cryo 6 unit delivers -30C air flow continously via this treatment tube, effectively and successfully, with no ice accumulation or leakages. The user can release the Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose by carefully pressing on the nozzle connector, then rotating the connector counterclockwise, and then finally tugging forward.  This will relieve the tube interconnection in the bayonet catch.

The operator should not force the treatment tube when attempting to maneuver the Zimmer Cooler.  The Cryo 6 is on tires and could be conveniently transferred without having to pull the treatment tube.  When attemting to reach those hard tot treat areas, do not stretch or force the hose to extend past the maximum allowed distance.  Drawing or extending the hose could cause damage, retention points, and openings within the treatment tube.  It is possible to figure out if there's harm to the tube by running your hand across the entire length of the hose feeling for air spaces, the system has to be in operation mode while carrying out this check.  Some Cryo 6 Hoses which have air leakages are going to have air dispensing at the leak site and can present dampness or ice throughout the site.  Air traveling from your cooler towards the treatment site must only be released at the distal end of the hose not anywhere else. If air is releasing at a location besides the distal end, it might be an indication of an opening in the treatment tube.  If no air is coming out of the hose or even the air flow is poor, you might want to detach the treatment tube from your Cryo 6 device and blow through it to examine for obstructions, openings, or pressure points.  Openings, blockades, and pressure points influence the overall performance of your Zimmer Cryo 6 Cooler and may decrease the volume of air that could get to the treatment site throughout the course of a treatment. You will likely need to change the Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose in case a hole, obstruction, or compression point is identified.

The Zimmer Cryo 6 Focusing Tip

The Zimmer Cryo 6 Focusing Tip can be used with the Cryo 6 hose to provide the Cryo operator and way to better control the air stream..  The Zimmer Cryo 6 Focusing Tip can simply affix to the hose by carefully installing the tip into the distal end of the hose.  The plastic part of the Focusing Tip glides inside and out to increase range, and to provide a way to reach those hard to reach patient treatment sites.  The Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose may be used with or without the Focusing Tip. The Cryo 6 Focusing Tip comes independent of the hose and is an accessory item, but might be incorporated when you buy a brand new Zimmer Cooler.

The Zimmer Cryo 6 Articulating Arm

The Zimmer Cryo 6 Articulating Arm permits the Cryo user to be hands-free from holding the Cryo hose while operating the Cryo unit during a laser treatment. The treatment tube clips onto the distal end of the Articulating Arm and dangles on the Articulating Arm Hanger.  The Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose stays positioned at the treatment site throughout the treatment, and could be re-positioned in accordance with the Cryo operator’s needs.  The Cryo 6 Articulating Arm has a pole that glides from the top of the glass to the connector found at the bottom of the cooler.  The connector is located on the mounting bracket found beneath the Cryo 6 cooler.  This pole also holds the articulating arm.  The Articulating Arm is an accessory item and it is sold independently from the Zimmer Cryo 6 Hose.
